The Muckle-Wells syndrome (MWS) is rare and characterized by chronic recurrent urticaria, periodic arthritis, sensorineural deafness, general signs of inflammation and secondary amyloidosis. Schnitzler syndrome (SchS) is rare and characterized by chronic, nonpruritic urticaria and a monoclonal immunoglobulin M gammopathy.
